'Starting over' on North Side; Reality show gives up Near North fight over noise, cast

Don't call it quitting. Call it "Starting Over."

Opting to move rather than continue battling a group of angry Near North residents, the producers of NBC's new daytime reality show have relocated to the 4200 block of North Hazel Street in Uptown.

The inaugural cast of the six women looking to "kickstart" their lives by achieving personal and career goals lin six to ten weeks, has been chosen. The camera have been installed and tested, and none of the neighbors has sued to halt production. The second time around, "Starting Over" creators Bunim/Murray Productions reached a deal with neighbors before installing the hot tub and hot lights. They just came right out and said: "We will not bring criminals, gang-bangers, or drug addicts into the house."

Neighbors, like Angela Turley, say they're satisfied with the agreement. "They seem to be nice people, and they've enhanced the garden quite a bit," Turley said. "We just want to be told what's happening in advance."
