Promising future recalled
Stephen Parker had turned his life around when he was gunned down. Those who knew him brightened his family's Thanksgiving.

Stephen Parker, 19, an aspiring rap singer who was headed to Truman College in January, was shot in the head as he walked down the street Saturday morning in Uptown, by an unknown assailant.

There have been no arrests in Parker's shooting, which took place on the 1200 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, Officer Wayne Frisbie, a Chicago police spokesman, said Thursday.
